The Modern Trend of Super Slender Residential Buildings

The purpose of this paper is to present a new skyscraper typology which has developed over the recent years – super-tall and slender, needle-like residential towers. This trend appeared on construction market along with progress advanced structural solutions high demand for luxury apartments spectacular views. Two types constructions can be distinguished within typology: ultra-luxury super-slim towers exclusivity one or two per floor (e.g. located in Manhattan, New York) other slender high-rise towers, built Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Melbourne, among others, have multiple each floor. presents survey selected buildings, where improvements tall buildings decade are considered from architectural view.
